Id badge retractable clip is used by all types of businesses, commonly to hold company or event identification cards. Badge reels are basically made in 2 shapes, round and oval. Custom shapes and modifications can be made if there is a large enough demand. There is essentially no functional difference between the round or the oval. The internal mechanism is the same, its just the outer body that differs which alters the way in which people can wear or attach it to a part of their clothing, belt or pocket.
These work well for men as well as women as the clip on the rear can be slid onto a pocket or a belt. It is a sturdy and slightly cheaper option than the oval model.
